Expert Electricians in Lewiston, ME

Skilled electrical professionals work with residential and commercial clients across the local area who want electrical work done to code. We handle everyday electrical issues, scheduled improvements, and urgent problems that cant wait. Our work is clear, code-compliant, and based on real experience. Some jobs are scheduled months in advance. Others begin with an urgent call because something stopped working or started overheating. In both cases, our electricians approach the work the same way: identify the cause, explain the options clearly, and finish the work safely and correctly. For larger projects, we offer payment options that allow customers to move forward without delaying critical upgrades. Electrical panel upgrades, EV charging installations, and electrical system corrections can often be paid over time instead of postponed, reducing long-term risk. Our company is locally owned and operated. We rely on referrals and returning clients, not volume turnover. That means showing up when scheduled, doing the work to code, and backing our installations. Many of our calls come from customers referred to our team after another job was done properly. Our electricians are fully licensed and trained to handle both home and business electrical systems. We work on electrical panels, circuit wiring, interior and exterior lighting, full rewires, and new installations. Electrical codes evolve, equipment updates, and power demands grow but the basics remain the same: proper wiring methods, appropriate circuit protection, and safe performance in real-world use.

Our Electrical Services In Lewiston, ME

Electrical work is not trial-and-error. Poor connections, overloaded circuits, and improper repairs introduce hazards that may not show up immediately. Working with a licensed electrician ensures the work meets current requirements and functions safely over time, not just when the job is finished. Expert Electricians serves homes and businesses across Lewiston, ME, providing electrical repairs, electrical upgrades, and new installations for homes and commercial spaces.

Electrical Repairs

Minor electrical issues often appear before turning into serious safety risks. Lights flicker. Circuit breakers trip unexpectedly. Outlets stop working or feel warm to the touch. These are usually signs of wiring, load, or connection issues that need to be traced properly. Our electricians test circuits, panels, grounding paths, and devices to locate the source of the problem. Once identified, the problem is explained clearly along with the recommended repair and cost. No work begins at our company in the local area until the customer approves the plan. We repair faulty outlets, failing switches, breaker and panel issues, and unsafe wiring conditions. When we find that a system no longer has sufficient capacity, we can address panel or circuit upgrades as part of the same appointment.

Home Rewiring and Electrical Upgrades

Many older homes were wired for a much lighter electrical load than what modern living requires. Over time, insulation breaks down, connections loosen, and obsolete wiring becomes a safety concern. Expert Electricians in the local area perform complete and partial rewires to resolve these problems. We remove and replace outdated wiring, add circuits where needed, and verify that the system can safely support appliances, HVAC equipment, and EV charging. When required, we take care of permits and electrical panel upgrades. All rewiring projects are carefully planned to reduce disruption, keep work areas clean, and ensure the finished system meets current electrical standards throughout the home.

Emergency Electrician Services

Certain electrical issues need urgent service. Power loss, burning smells, sparking outlets, or breakers that wont reset should be treated as safety concerns, not inconveniences. Our emergency electricians are available around the clock across the service area. We respond to secure unsafe conditions, shut down impacted circuits, and identify the cause of the failure. The priority is always safety first, followed by restoring reliable power as quickly as possible.

Lighting Installation and Repair

Lighting influences function as well as appearance. Poorly installed or overloaded lighting systems can lead to light flicker, overheating, or frequent outages. We handle interior lighting installation and repair such as recessed lights, pendants, vanity lights, and under-cabinet systems. Outdoor lighting options include pathway lighting, porch lights, security lighting, and weatherproof flood lights. All work is properly matched to the circuit load and completed to electrical code. We provide lighting repairs and upgrades for both residential and commercial buildings. Contact our licensed electricians in the local area for expert lighting services.

EV Charger Installation

EV chargers require more than just an outlet. Load capacity, the condition of the service panel, and circuit protection all need to be assessed before installation. At our licensed electricians in the service area, we install Level 2 EV chargers, including NEMA 14-50 outlets and hardwired charging units. We perform load calculations, handle panel upgrades if required, and confirm the setup complies with current electrical codes. Each charger is fully tested and inspected before the job is completed.

Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detector Installation

Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors only protect when they are installed and interconnected correctly. Improper placement or wiring can leave gaps in coverage. We install, replace, and interconnect detectors so all units sound together when one is activated. Placement, wiring, and testing are completed in accordance with state and national safety standards to ensure dependable performance. Reach out to our licensed electricians in the service area for professional detector installation.

Why Choose Expert Electricians

Licensed and Insured

Electrical work doesnt allow for improvising. It either meets code or it doesnt. Our company is fully licensed, bonded, and insured in the service area, and our work is completed to modern electrical codes; not older standards and not close enough. Unlicensed or careless work often shows up later as failed inspections, insurance issues, or hidden problems behind walls and panels. Our electricians document what they do, adhere strictly to electrical code, and leave systems in a condition that can be inspected, serviced, and trusted long after the project is completed.

We Stand Behind the Work We Install

Restoring power is not the final step. A job is only complete when the system operates the way it should under real use. If something related to our installation doesnt hold up, we take care of it. No arguments. No deflection. That approach has kept customers coming back and leads to referrals. We focus on long-term function, not short-term fixes.

Straight Numbers Explained Clearly

Before any work starts, youll know whats being done and what it costs. We explain the scope, the approach, and the pricing in plain terms. There are no unexpected fees and no sudden changes without your consent. Transparent pricing prevents confusion and helps the project proceed smoothly.

Responsive When Timing Matters

Electrical problems rarely happen at convenient times. When something malfunctions, overheats, or causes partial outages, delaying service can worsen the situation. We arrive promptly, come fully equipped, and ensure the problem is fixed right the first time. The goal isnt a temporary reset; its bringing systems back to safe, reliable operation and preventing recurring issues.

The electrician was skilled, professional, and walked us through exactly what needed to be done to upgrade the panel. The Lewiston area traces its roots to 1669 with the early presence of the Androscoggin tribe (the namesake of the county in which the city resides). In the late 18th century, in 1795, Lewiston was incorporated as Lewistown. The presence of the Androscoggin River and Lewistown Falls made the town an attractive area for manufacturing and hydro-power businesses. The rise of Boston rail and textile tycoon Benjamin Bates saw rapid economic growth rivaling that of Cambridge, Worcester, and Concord. Irish immigrants were recruited to build the railroad links and dig the canals for the textile mills. The Irish stayed, and worked the mills and established flourishing businesses, as evidenced by the McGillicuddy, Callahan, and other Blocks and the St.Joseph's and St.Patrick's churches. In the 1850 Census Lewiston was fully 23% Irish born. The increase in economic stimulus prompted thousands of Quebecers to migrate, causing a population boom; the populace rose from 1,801 in 1840 to 21,701 in 1890. In 1855, local preacher Oren Burbank Cheney founded the Maine State Seminary, the first coeducational university in New England and one of the first universities to admit black students before the Emancipation Proclamation. Lewistown quickly became associated with the liberal arts and was incorporated as "Lewiston" in 1864, a year before the college was chartered as Bates College.
